Freeware Evaluated

Welcome!  This is where I will be downloading freeware and seeing what it does for us.  I'll give you the links to where you can download it and let you know what it can or can't do.  I hope you find something interesting!  I also want to thank the creators and I appreciate all the time that goes into these free products.  If you don't want me to have your links posted here, please let me know.

Here are my reviews on Free Color Pickers, for html, web design, programmers, digital scrapbooking and graphic design.  I tried many of the freeware applications and these are my top picks.  I also tried a couple of the shareware (you get a trial period and then have to pay for them) don't waste your hard earned money, these will get the same job done.

Byai Color Picker  Here is a freeware color picker.  This is a keeper!  You can grab up to 16 colors from your screen, it gives you your Hex and Dec codes and your color codes.  It has a neat magnifier on the bottom so you can pick which pixel you actually want real easy.  You can save all your different palettes and it gives you your basic palettes that are web safe colors.  Uses:  for your webpage or scrapbooking, you can see what your palette will look like before you create.  Just click on a color and it will give you all your codes for web design or graphic design.

Iconico Color Pic  I really like this color picker.  They have a great website with shortcuts and tips to use this free software.  This color picker has a great magnifier to pick exactly the pixel you want, you can copy the codes so you can paste them into your html, or graphics software.  You can adjust the hues, saturation, values etc.

Absolute Color Picker     Here's another keeper!  What I like about this one is that you can pick your color from your screen and then move to another color on their screen and keep the same hues.  This one has many options to play with, sphere, pencils, hue, brightness etc.  The actual color picker isn't as nice as Byai's, but this one has many great options that Byai's doesn't.

Anry Color Picker What I like about this one is that you can grab as many colors as you want.  You can then easily save the html codes in a text format.  This one also has the option to change the hotkey for grabbing to whatever combination you want.  It also has a RGB and RYB color wheel, which displays the current color with a triad and compliment color in the same hues.  It has a 3X and 9X zoom for picking your pixels on your screen.
